Valle de Rapel

As the River (Rio)Cachapoal flows southwest towards the coast it feeds Lake or Lago Rapel formed by a dam not far from the town of Pueblo Hundido or submerged town. It is here that you will also find many vineyards. There may only be a few small wineries but the vineyards will provide the grapes for wines which will list their origin as the Rapel Valley. Several wineries will make wines harvested from several of Chile's valleys.
